Last month Continuous Computing announced the appointment of Mike Dagenais as chief executive officer and member of the board. Mr. Dagenais, who brings prior experience from Nortel, Lucent and Convergent, was previously CEO of Optical Solutions (a company acquired by Calix Networks). Mr. Dagenais' appointment prepares Continuous Computing for the next stage of growth as the company expands its comprehensive package of ATCA and cPCI hardware, Trillium software, and Trillium professional service solutions.

Continuous Computing recently announced its partnership with Raza Microelectronics, Inc. (RMI), a leading supplier of processors for communications and consumer applications. This partnership accelerates the delivery of high performance, low latency ATCA packet processing products. Via RMI's XLR processor, Continuous Computing's new products will offer telecom equipment manufacturers:
- "Content-aware" routing
- Traffic management
- Security solutions
The XLR processor serves as a key enabling technology underlying Continuous Computing's entry into the deep packet inspection arena, considered increasingly important as disparate applications and services converge within unified next generation networks.
