GLOBALCOMM 2006 Edition
Meet with us at Globalcomm 2006!Visit Continuous Computing, June 5 through 7, at Globalcomm 2006 in Chicago, Illinois. We will be presenting our complete product line where we will highlight Trillium+plus, AdvancedTCA, CompactPCI and other products and services. In our booth you'll find compelling displays and opportunities to speak with product managers and engineers. Locate us at McCormick Place South, Level 3, Exhibit Hall A.
Upcoming "Signaling Gateways" Webinar on June 1st!
Join us online next Thursday, June 1, as Continuous Computing participates in the first of three Light Reading webinars targeting topics that focus on telecom infrastructure. Entitled "The Role of Signaling Gateways in Next-Gen Networks", the June 1 webinar will identify key requirements for signaling gateways and provide an update on how these requirements are being met. Topics will include interworking with legacy networks, SS7-SIGTRAN gateways, signaling between different variants of SS7, and supporting OSA/Parlay interworking. ![]() Third Installment of IMS White Paper SeriesAt the Globalcomm 2006 trade show in Chicago, Continuous Computing will release its third and final article in the series of three pragmatic papers that address real-world challenges of deploying or upgrading to IMS. The third paper in this series will be titled "Evolving in the Era of Consolidation." The previous white papers in this series, made available at 3GSM and at CTIA Wireless, were called "Transforming Network Architectures" and "Successful IMS Implementation Methodologies".
FlexDSP ATCA-TI320
Continuous Computing's FlexDSP ATCA-TI320 provides telecom equipment manufacturers with a flexible, high-density digital signal processing (DSP) solution for voice or video applications. Based on Texas Instruments' C64x line of DSPs, FlexDSP allows developers to leverage software already designed for this popular family of DSPs. With up to 32 DSPs per board, TDM termination options, packet processing and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, FlexDSP provides an ideal solution for creating cost-effective, high-density media applications such as IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS), Media Gateways and SIP Media Servers. Engineered for carrier-class performance, FlexDSP includes up to eight DSP clusters, totaling 32 DSP chips in a single AdvancedTCA (ATCA) slot. Each cluster combines four Texas Instruments TMS320C6415T DSPs running at up to 1GHz with an FPGA to support offload and shared memory. PCI, UTOPIA and TDM interfaces to each DSP allow a variety of data paths. FlexDSP can be configured with either a dual-core or quad-core Broadcom processor to support packet processing. To maximize flexibility, FlexDSP provides a PTMC site for I/O expansion and quad PICMG 3.1 Gigabit Ethernet ports for redundant 2Gbps fabric interface bandwidth. FlexDSP is built on industry standards to ensure easy integration and management. The ideal building block for deploying a wide range of high performance processing, FlexDSP may also be combined with other members of Continuous Computing's complete family of ATCA platform solutions and Trillium protocol software to create the fastest path from application development to deployment revenue. Trillium® 100% IMS
Trillium protocol software from Continuous Computing is synonymous with high quality, superior performance, and technology leadership. The company's legacy in the 3G Wireless, Voice over IP (VoIP), SS7, and SIGTRAN markets is naturally extending as Trillium solutions evolve into the budding IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) market. Continuous Computing specializes in the very core of IMS:
Fourth Generation Trillium Poster Available!
Get a free copy of the latest Trillium "Telecommunications Network Infrastructure" poster. A "supplier-agnostic" resource for the industry, the Trillium poster incorporates communication protocol technology information covering IMS, VoIP, Wireless, SS7, SIGTRAN, legacy networking, and more. "Telecom technology expands at an exponential pace, and the Trillium poster provides a comprehensive illustration of how the different network elements work together," said Garrett Choi, general manager of the Trillium business unit. "The launch of the fourth-generation Trillium poster is an important milestone in Trillium's long-standing and continuing commitment to maintain thought leadership across the telecom industry. By design, it is not intended to be a marketing piece, but rather a useful reference tool for system architects, engineers, and students." Continuous Computing will be distributing the fourth generation of the Trillium poster free of charge at the company's booth during the Globalcomm 2006 trade show in Chicago, Illinois, June 5-7.
